Summer Baseball League

June 29 - August 22, 2009
Registration for summer baseball is currently going on. YMCA Baseball teaches kids fundamental baseball skills in a fun and recreational environment. All participants will play equal time and learn baseball through practices and games. Practices are once per week, along with Saturday games. There is limited availability, so register now!

  • Co-ed T-Ball: Ages 4-5
  • Co-ed Coach Pitch: Ages 6-7
  • Boys Machine Pitch: Ages 8-9

Summer Soccer

Shooters (ages 6-7): Tuesdays, July14 - August 18, 2009
Kickers (ages 4-5): Thursdays, July16 - August 20, 2009

The Plymouth Family YMCA Soccer program is a great opportunity for children to have fun while playing the great game of soccer. The program focuses on having fun while developing skills and character. Teams will receive instruction from coaches for 3 weeks followed by 3 weeks of games. The teams are small (6 players) so that everyone easily gets tons of playing time!

Summer in Service - Student Volunteer Opportunity

June 22 - August 14, 2009
An 8-week intensive volunteering program, Summer in Service is an opportunity for students in 9th-12th grades to broaden their horizons and experience what it means to help out their community. Volunteers work for week-long periods at various community-based organizations in the Greater Detroit and Ann Arbor areas.

SIS volunteers will meet new people and develop work-related skills and experiences while building relationships with community organizations that create new opportunities for everyone. Volunteer this summer and make a difference!

Volunteers Needed for Father's Day Run

June 21, 2009
Enlist in our volunteer army, and help us manage the Father's Day Run. We need volunteers to help direct runners along the route, operate water stations along the route, among other things. This will be a fun time and give folks a chance to participate in the race. Please help.

Plymouth YMCA 30th Father's Day Run

June 21, 2009
A great event for the entire family and the serious runner. The 30th Father's Day Run offers an event for all ages. Kids Fun Runs, 1M Run/Walk, 5k Run/Walk, 10k and the MDG Triple (10.3 miles) start time permit running all three races The flat and fast course thru the streets of Downtown Plymouth is USTAF certified. New!! ChronoTrack D-tag timing. Endorsed by the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports. Proceeds benefit the Strong Kids Campaign. The Fathers Day Run is a fun day that benefits the community-join us!
