Who’s YOUR Hometown Hero?
Picnic Celebration Saturday, September 11, 2010 (11am-3pm)
at Carls Family YMCA
Free picnic open to the community. Come and meet our veterans, fire and police departments, scouts, and our community hometown heroes. Maybe it is a teacher, a business owner, a neighbor, a co-worker. Let us know who YOUR hometown hero is. Join the Milford Rotary and Carls Family YMCA to reflect, remember and celebrate Huron Valley’s Hometown Heroes.
Submit YOUR local hometown heroes’ name and photo (if available) on 8 ½ x 11 paper, with a description of 50 words or less about what makes this person your hero. These submissions will be displayed at our Hometown Heroes Celebration. Submissions accepted until August 31, 2010. Each submission for the Hometown Hero will be a “winner”! Send or drop off to:

Enjoy free picnic lunch, games and a special treat “Half Whacked” will be the band performing. Bring your lawn chairs and spend the afternoon with us. Please bring a non perishable food item to be donated to our hometown Community Sharing Food Pantry. A receptacle will also be available to collect US Flags that the American Legion will retire.
