An experimental learning program for girls grades 3-5
Girls on the Run is a life changing, experiential learning program for girls grades 3-5. The program combines training for a 3.1 mile running event with self-esteem enhancing, uplifting workouts. The goals of the program are to encourage positive emotional, social, mental, spiritual and physical development. Girls will meet twice a week for an hour with a certified volunteer coach directly after school. Fee includes program t-shirt, water bottle, a healthy snack each day and entrance into the 5k run. The Livonia Family YMCA will be hosting their annual fall open house. It’s a great day to introduce your friends to the YMCA as well as take part in some free classes & clinics. There will be Tennis clinics every half hour starting at 11 am for all ages. Watch the website or Facebook for the schedule of Volleyball, Basketball, and Cheerleading clinics.

All classes and clinics are free and open to everyone. It’s also national gymnastics day. The gym will be open for gymnastics, assessments and meet the coaches. The pool will also be open for swimming and assessments with the kiddie pool open at noon. Come join us for a great afternoon!

Put Wednesday, September 24 on your calendar to eat at Noodles & Co. between noon and 9 pm. Flyers will be available at the front desk. Eat at Noodles & Co. that day and bring your flyer or just mention the Y and we will receive 25% of the sales from this event. All proceeds will benefit our Strong Kids Campaign.

This is a great opportunity for mothers and mothers-to-be to sell and buy gently used clothing, toys, furniture and miscellaneous items that families have outgrown. Park in the Frost Middle School Parking Lot.
