YMCA Camp Nissokone

Offering Michigan youth a healthy outdoor alternative to the “city life” since 1914, YMCA camp Nissokone is a tradition for several generations of families. Children, parents and even grandparents can recollect the memories of the campfire songs, sailing on Van Ettan Lake and canoeing along the AuSable River.

Great activities are an important part of camp, but the real benefits of Summer Camp are the friendships that are forged, the positive values that are cemented and the independence that is reached… we call it “a part of growing up.”

Traditional Residence Camp

Boys and Girls entering grades 3-11
Nissokone offers a variety of camp experiences that you can purchase in 1 or 2 week Session blocks. Our Traditional Residence Camp offers a variety of camp activities that take advantage of our incredible outdoor camp complex and adjacent state park. Adventure Specialty Camps provide additional opportunities with a special focus (such as Ranch Camp or Adventure Specialty Camp).
