Grades K-8
Grades 6-8; Older and more experienced campers explore all that camp has to offer and plan their day for the maximum amount of adventure and interaction. Activities become more challenging and concepts of “giving back” are also explored.

Trail Groups:

• PIONEERS - Grades K-2; This is a safe and fun introduction to camp. The focus is on basic activities that focus on play, success, teamwork and fun.
• TRAILBLAZERS - Grades: 3-5; All camp activities are available in a progressive learning style which will challenge campers. An overnight campout is offered each week for added FUN.
• THE A-TEAM - Grades 6-8; Older and more experienced campers explore all that camp has to offer and plan their day for the maximum amount of adventure and interaction. Activities become more challenging and concepts of “giving back” are also explored.

Day Camp Specialty Programs

Designed for campers in grades 3 and up, the specialty program will be a focus for the morning. Younger campers may do various “specialty” activities but for a shorter period of time.

• Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) Camp

  For the detective and scientist in your family, our CSI Camp will teach fingerprinting, shoe casting, handwriting analysis, blood typing and much more! Campers will follow clues to solve a mystery from the first moment they arrive at camp until they depart.

• Survivor Camp

  An exciting program designed to teach survival skills like: Finding your way in the wilderness, staying warm and finding food and water. Survivor-style challenges make the camp fun, AND no one is ever voted off the Island!

• MythBusters Camp

  You’ve seen the popular Discovery Channel show “MythBusters” as Adam and Jamie seek to prove or bust popular myths. Can a Ninja really catch arrows in midair? Will a bullet really cause a gas tank to blow up?

  The Camp Ohiyesa version will not blow up gas tanks or shoot arrows at campers, but I wonder if a boat made out of duct tape will really float? You can submit your own myths to bust by visiting our website.

• Creative Arts Camp

  Explore various mediums of expression as you expand your creative side. Each day we will explore new art forms which may include: Charcoal drawing, water colors, sculpture, paper mache and more.

• Saddle Club Day Camp

  Boys & Girls entering grades 3-8
  Combine your love of horses, the outdoors and making friends with other campers, and you can create an unforgettable summer. Campers will spend 3 hours daily working with and learning about the Ohiyesa herd. From grooming and daily care to riding and learning techniques to improve your equestrian skills; campers will enjoy the farm life to the fullest. Limited Enrollment.

  Boys & Girls entering grades 3 and up
  Campers entering grades 3 and up can spend the night on Thursdays for a gentle introduction to Resident Camp. Tons of fun and capped off by the Friday BBQ. Limited enrollment per Session.

Overnight Camp

Program begins at 8:30am Monday and ends at 4:30pm Friday.
If you think Day Camp is fun, just wait until you try our Overnight Camp. In addition to all of the exciting Camp activities during the day, we add crazy meals, campfire programs, morning inspiration, a campout, themed days, all camp games and much more to give you 24/7 fun.

Overnight Specialty Camps at Ohiyesa

Film Camp

Boys and Girls Entering Grades 3-8
Lights, camera, action! Campers will learn what it takes to shoot, act and edit a short film during this week of camp. Campers will spend several hours each day planning and directing parts of the production under the supervision and direction of the camp film director. The finished product will be shown on the last night of camp and will be given to each film camper.

Ponderosa Ranch Camp

Boys and Girls Entering Grades 3-8
Ranch campers get all of the fun of Camp, plus they work with the horses all morning and have some evening rides as well. Learn to feed, groom and care for the horses plus you will have plenty of saddle time to learn and advance your riding skills. Campers are divided into groups based on basic riding ability as demonstrated on the first day. Beginner to intermediate riders.

Family Camp at Ohiyesa

All Ages of the Family
This perfect location on Fish Lake will make you feel a hundred miles away from the daily grind, yet is centrally located in Holly only an hour north of the Detroit Metro area.

Good home cookin’ is our specialty and is served in the Dining Hall overlooking Fish Lake. Cabins are in dormitory style with restroom & showers a short walk down the path.

4th of July Family Camp at Ohiyesa

July 2-4:

• Adults (age 13 & up) $94 by 4/30
  $105 after 5/1
• Children (age 3-12) $49 by 4/30
  $55 after 5/1

Included in the fee are 2 nights’ lodging, 5 meals and all camp activities. There will be a Friday snack and Sunday lunch. Check-in time 6pm, check-out time 2pm

Ohiyesa Day Camp LIT's

Campers entering grades 9-10
Day Camp Sessions 3, 4, 7, 8, 9 and 10
A daily program combining FUN and LEARNING. Campers will go through a series of clinics and training programs to enhance their leadership potential, group work skills and have a chance to lead younger campers in activities. Campers will also be able to experience all the expected fun and adventurous camp activities PLUS a weekly “Fun Trip”. MAY qualify for school volunteer requirements.

Ohiyesa Overnight Camp LIT's

July 12-23
A TWO-WEEK program combining camp activities and Leadership Clinics to boost teamwork skills, leadership confidence and group work safety considerations; this is a great start for campers who wish to move on to a Counselor In Training program. Includes a weekend trip to Camp Nissokone to experience the High Ropes Course and teambuilding activities. MAY qualify for school volunteer requirements.
